Susan Oliver

“I paint to create something beautiful—work that offers the viewer a sense of wonder. Inspired by color, nature, and the stories woven through everyday life, I aim to capture moments that uplift the human spirit.”

Susan Oliver draws from both her Southern roots and European influence. After years living in Vienna, Florence, and Rome, she returned home, where she continues to create and teach.

Her work is held in private collections and has been featured in publications across the United States and Europe. She is also the author and illustrator of the children’s book Gelbo’s World: Remembering Colors. The book is described as a celebration of creativity and imagination.

“I believe beauty surrounds us—in people, places, and fleeting moments. As an artist, I strive to illuminate what moves me. Creating has always been at the center of my life.”
